Turning waste into a resource is part of ‘closing the loop’ in circular economy systems. The present paper deals with the production of reduced salinity fertilizers (RESAFE) in order to substitute chemicals and mineral fertilizers trough a technological route based on urban organic waste (UOW), bio-char and farm organic residues (FOR) processing. The activities were carried out in the framework of the current RESAFE LIFE project “Innovative fertilizer from urban waste, bio-char and farm residues as substitute of chemicals fertilizers” in which innovative oxidative/composting strategies and monitoring techniques are utilized to obtain High Quality Organic Matter Based Produc (HQ-ORBP).
